Bit Digital mines fewer bitcoin in April amid rig relocation, higher network difficulty

Bit Digital ( NASDAQ: BTBT ) said Wednesday it mined 86.1 bitcoin ( BTC-USD ) in April, down 28% from the prior month, due to relocation of ~6.5K rigs from facilities previously operated by Compute North and an increase in network difficulty. The company said 11.5K miners, representing 1.20 EH/s, were actively hashing as of April 30. Bit Digital's ( BTBT ) treasury holdings of BTC and ETH were 553.2 and 9.9K on April 30, with fair market value of ~$16.2M and $18.6M, respectively. The BTC equivalent of its cryptocurrency holdings as of April 30 was ~1.6K, or ~$45.5M. As of April 30, Bit Digital ( BTBT ) held ~$6.2M in USD Coin ( USDC-USD ), up from ~$0.5M at March-end. Earlier, Bit Digital ( BTBT ) reported FY earnings below estimates.
