Coinbase Global ( NASDAQ: COIN ) is officially launching its zero-fee trading subscription service Coinbase One and expanded its reach to the U.K., Germany and Ireland, the U.S.-based cryptocurrency exchange said in a blog post dated Thursday. The company was said to have started beta testing Coinbase One in November 2021 whereby customers in the test group were able to trade and convert crypto on Coinbase's ( COIN ) platform without having to pay a trading fee. Still, the service costs $29.99 a month not just for the benefit of zero trading fees but also higher staking rewards, the Brian Armstrong-led company said in the blog. COIN slipped 1.3% on Thursday as bitcoin ( BTC-USD ) resumed its slide. "We're committed to expanding access to Coinbase One to even more countries in the coming months, bringing the benefits of crypto to the rest of the world with our international expansion strategy," it added . Coinbase ( COIN ) in April briefly considered exiting the U.S. amid an unclear regulatory environment, but Armstrong dialed back on that suggestion less than a month later.
