Bullish Analyst Tom Lee Says “Ethereum Will Surpass Bitcoin,” Shares BTC Price Forecast

Tom Lee, co-founder of Fundstrat Global Advisors, shared his views on the cryptocurrency market. While Lee is optimistic about the future of Bitcoin, he explained that he expects a greater bullish outlook towards Ethereum. According to Tom Lee, Bitcoin's primary appeal is as a store of value. Lee noted that Wall Street is also aware of this and that interest from institutional investors is increasing. He predicted that Bitcoin could reach a value of up to $1.2 million, potentially becoming an asset like gold. However, Lee's primary focus was on Ethereum. The analyst noted that “smart contracts” are the key feature that distinguishes Ethereum from Bitcoin, arguing that this gives Ethereum a broader range of uses. He argued that these developments reinforce the belief that Ethereum's total network value could one day surpass Bitcoin's. In addition to the interest of the artificial intelligence and financial sectors in Ethereum, he said the US administration's positive approach towards cryptocurrencies, especially stablecoins, could strengthen the dollar's dominance in the global financial system.
